Hairo San creates pottery using stoneware clay and firing them in a gas kiln. The process he employs marries tradition with modern techniques, resulting in durable, versatile, and beautifully crafted ceramic pieces. He is a specialist at creating colourful clay compositions using layered glazing and firing techniques. His work bears signature marks, lines and textures created using slip and objects such as a metal brush, fork or comb, yet still maintaining form and symmetry in every piece.
